Rapid iteration to online and virtual resources that keep communities strong is the name of the game right now. Across the nation, the SEED SPOT team has observed an attitude of abundance and gratitude as founders and their teams have quickly adapted to provide services and access to those who need it most.

This gives us hope for a brighter future. Products designed for vulnerable populations are created with an impactful intent. We appreciate seeing communities elevate the needs of those who may need extra advocates presently, and always.

There are a lot of organizations prioritizing public health and well-being right now. Here are a few of the many founders that are doubling down on their impact and offering their products, services, and technologies to the community!

televëda

Televëda is offering their interactive, live-streamed wellness program FREE OF CHARGE to home-bound seniors. If you know of any senior living communities in need of support transitioning to virtual, schedule a consultation HERE.

stARTem

StARTem is leveraging instagram (handle: @startem_) to host at-home art challenges for parents and students looking for projects to keep busy while at home. The first challenge? Creative photos using clorox bleach-wipe containers. Check out Box Play for Kids for other sustainable ways to create unique toys and free-play for your children.

RelayCare

Looking for all of the latest COVID-19 updates in the mid-Atlantic region? SEED SPOT alum RelayCare (formerly Haven) has put together 34 live updates from Washington DC covering the virus, including hospitals, insurance, schools, transit, and more! Stay tuned HERE.

Celebrate EDU

Although their classes have always been available in an accessible online format, Celebrate EDU is now offering their online program for self-advocates with disabilities for FREE.  They are also offering “train the trainer” community courses that leaders can facilitate to groups of any size as many times as they want! If you are interested in empowering individuals with disabilities or connecting with a thoughtful and accessible resource, check them out.

Symba

Symba can connect you with PAID remote internships. Connect with technology-forward companies looking to bring on emerging leaders! Execute on impactful work with a new team – all from your couch! If you are a company looking to leverage remote talent, they have resources for you as well.

Givhero

During this time of social distancing, it is important for people to stay connected to their well-being as well as to others. Join the challenge presented by givhero to walk 5,000 steps a day. You can do this in your home, in your neighborhood, on your own or with your loved ones. Invite your friends & family, get sponsored, and support causes that are critical during this time. Tap on this link from your smartphone to get started.

Constraints are the birthplace of innovation. As we mentioned in a recent blog post describing our own response to COVID-19, problems don’t wait until we are ready to solve them. We strongly believe that it will be entrepreneurs who will create solutions to help our communities remain resilient and move forward!

P.S. Meet the entrepreneurs in our Impact Accelerators in both DC and Phoenix – all of whom are participating in virtual sessions with content experts and mentors as they grow their businesses in the time of social distancing.

P.P.S. Connect with the impact-entrepreneur community at our Virtual Meet-Ups this Friday:
