Vocalocity Increases Market Share as Largest U.S. Communications Provider Devoted to Small Business and Start-ups

Vocalocity, the leading cloud-based phone service for small business, announced it has acquired the customers of fellow hosted communications provider DigiTalk, located in Rutherfordton, N.C.
“We’ve enjoyed tremendous year-over-year growth and our experience working with companies like DigiTalk to bring advanced capabilities to their customers is an important part of our strategy,” said Wain Kellum, CEO at Vocalocity. “Our scale allows us to build more capabilities into our communications platform that makes the phone system work harder for our customers. Our customers find that they can sell more and service better by using all of the capabilities that we provide.”

Terms of the deal between the two private companies were not disclosed.
“Fast growth and ever-changing industry regulations prompted us to partner with an established leader in the VoIP industry,” said Griffe Youngleson, CMO at DigiTalk.

“Vocalocity was the obvious choice to advance our capabilities in this competitive market, and provide 24 by 7 support for our customers. Vocalocity is the clear market leader with a proven track record serving customers like ours. We simply would not have made the decision to sell if we weren’t confident that our customers would be better served,” says Lee Clark-Sellers, CEO at DigiTalk.

Vocalocity was recently named by Deloitte as a member of the Technology Fast 500 and has been cited to Inc. magazine’s list of the fastest-growing companies for the past two years.
