Wain Kellum is Managing Partner of Canal Partners. In this role Mr. Kellum is responsible for all aspects of the company including identification of potential acquisition targets, due diligence, financial analysis and final investment decision making.
Wain Kellum serves as a Strategic Advisor to Vonage Holdings following a successful tenure as President of Vonage Business Solutions and CEO of Vocalocity, which was acquired by Vonage in 2013. Under Wain’s leadership, the business grew from $8M in annualized recurring revenue to over 100M and continues to grow at 50% YOY. Vocalocity is the sixth company Wain has led that saw rapid growth and a successful outcome. His experience extends to organically growing companies, buying and integrating companies; forming strategic alliances; and raising capital. He has completed successful equity transactions with a variety of companies including Microsoft and Hewlett Packard (HP). Wain is an active early stage investor, team member and board member in over a dozen companies that have had successful exits. He is currently active with Call Rail, Click Dimensions, Fuel My Club, Ruby Receptionists and BizMosis.
Wain was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Southeast, was named one of the 25 most influential people in the Southeast technology community by TechJournal South and received the Southeastern AeA "Spirit of Endeavor" Award for Outstanding Leadership. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with honors from the University of South Carolina, an M.B.A from Georgia State University and has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.
